Kordian’s SCAN (Short Chance Analysis) is a quick review of the company or technology designed to identify major gaps or opportunities for investment.

Key activities

SCAN is a basic subset of our proprietary methodologies: SITE (Structured Information Technology Assessment) dealing with basic technology assumptions and SPOT (Structure Product Operations Transformation) dealing with basic business analysis. SCAN is usually performed in early stages of the investment process or as first step in company remodeling. SCAN sometimes serves as a stepping stone to a decision whether to perform the full SITE or SPOT assessment. It may also replace SITE or SPOT where the size of the deal or the time schedule constraints do not allow for it.

Results

• Executive Summary Key product of a SCAN engagement is an Executive Summary Report, presenting key findings for each of the areas included in the analysis.
• Specific area report cards Depending on the research focus (technology and/or business), report cards provide at-a-glance insight into the state of company and/or its information technology affairs, everything laid out in a concise, decision-friendly format.
